10 Most Valuable Indian Companies With Least Number Of Employees

A report by Hurun India has brought forth a list of the most valuable companies with the least number of employees.

The report has been compiled in collaboration with Burgundy Private, the private banking business of Axis Bank. It is part of their 2022 Burgundy Private Hurun India 500 report.

Reliance Industries has emerged as the most valuable company, followed by TCS and HDFC Bank. While TCS is the biggest employer in 2022, let’s take a look at the most valuable companies in India that employ the least number of employees.

1. Kama Holdings

Controlled by the Arun Bharat Ram family, Kama Holdings has business interests in education, real estate, and securities investment through three wholly owned subsidiaries- Shri Educare ltd, KAMA Realty (Delhi) Ltd, and SRF Transnational Holdings Ltd.

The company is valued at a whopping INR 8,388 crores and employs just three people. Yes, you heard that right!

2. Max Financial Services

With just 12 employees handling all its operations, the company is listed second on the list.

The financial services company is valued at INR 24,436 crore.

3. Bajaj Holdings and Investments

The holding company of Bajaj Auto, Bajaj Finserv, Maharashtra Scooters Ltd, and many more is third on the list with a meager number of 21 employees, managing operations of the company valued at INR 74,128 crores.

4. Tata Investment Corporation

The biggest employer in the country also has the lowest number of employees in one of its subsidiaries. This 85-year-old holding company has 22 employees that work towards making long-term investments in equity and equity-related securities.

5. GMR Airports Infrastructure

One of the most valuable construction and engineering companies in the country, GMR Airports Infrastructure employs 40 people and is valued at INR 22,605 crore.

6. Mensa Brands

With 48 employees, Mensa Brands is sixth on the list. Just a year and a half old right now, the startup was founded by Ananth Narayanan and it became a unicorn within six months.

Today, it is valued at INR 8,300 crore.

7. RattanIndia Enterprises Ltd

The electric mobility sector player has 97 employees working for it.

It is valued at INR 6,725 crores.

8. Tagros Chemicals

The company manufactures agricultural chemicals, produces and exports synthetic pyrethroids pesticide intermediates, fungicides, rodenticides, plant nutrients, seed treatments, veterinary, and wood protection
products.

It is valued at a whopping INR 7,300 crore and employs 123 people.

9. Rajesh Exports

Bengaluru-based gold retailer and jewelry company run by 135 people and the company is valued at INR 20,420 crores.

10 Farmson Pharmaceuticals

Valued at INR 10,100 crore, the makers of Paracetamol and Acetaminophen employ 140 people.
