Black is the third most used color in logos these days, and it adds a sense of elegance and grace to the brand. The use of black color in a logo symbolizes purity, strength, dominance, and elegance of their products. The following are some companies and brands who feel that black is not just a color, it is a mark of sophistication and style.

1. Adidas

Adidas is unquestionably the biggest manufacturer of sportswear. Adidas consists of three parallel strips that portray a mountain and indicates goals and objectives.

2. Prada

Prada is an esteemed Italian Fashion house headquartered in Milan, Italy. It specializes in luxurious goods such as handbags, shoes, luggage and various other products. The Prada comprises of unique letter shapes which talk about the dynamic quality of the brand.

3. Sony

Sony is a leading global Japanese corporation and one of the leading manufacturers of electronics products. Sony’s logo consists of a simple signature that is meant to convey simplicity and strength.

4. L’Oréal

The L’Oréal group is a major French cosmetics company that specializes in hair products, skincare, and makeup products. The logo depicts the brand’s name in a simple, yet stylish script.

5. Louis Vuitton

Louis Vuitton is recognized as one of the most admired international fashion houses. The logo depicts a Japanese- inspired flower motif. The LV monogram has been prestigiously worn by some celebrities as a “fashion statement”.

6. Nike

Nike is a leading American manufacturer of high-quality sports equipment, footwear, and other accessories. The logo depicts the wing of the Greek Goddess of Victory, Nike, who inspires countless brave warriors.

7. Coach

Coach is a leading American fashion company that specializes in high-quality leather goods including handbags, wallets, watches and various other products. The logo comprises of a horse-and-carriage design which signifies heritage and pride.

8. Gillette

Gillette is a widely popular distributor of blades, deodorants and various personal care products for men. The extra thick font gives a unique feel to the logo and the negative space between the letters “G and I” forms a blade-like structure.

9. Gucci

The House of Gucci is a prestigious Italian company that excels in leather products. The distinguishing “double G” in the logo is inspired by the founder of the company, Guccio Gucci’s initials.

10. Ralph Lauren

Ralph Lauren, an American fashion house, manufactures footwear, perfumes and various other products. The logo depicts a polo horseman that signifies tradition and social status.

According to a survey it has been found that 48% of the consumers are more likely to connect to a brand when they purchase a product for the first time. A logo plays a very important role as it grabs attention and makes a very strong first impression on the consumers.
