Whether, we want to buy a car or not, but the launch of some cars is always something we eagerly wait for. For some, they are dream cars, for some they are the next change or for some, its just love for cars, irrespective of the buying factor. Let us take a look at some of the most anticipated launches of 2018.

Mercedes C Class-Facelift

Mercedes always get a lot of speculation and buzz around its launch, and its no different this time.
One of the major facelifts is going to be a reworked bumper with sharper and more elegant lines. The front fascia is expected to carry the same avant-garde grille and the headlamp will now see a tweaked daytime running lights to suit the Mercedes-Benz family design. The interiors will also see some changes, making it even more premium and classy. Individual temperature zones are expected for the rear seat passengers along with a 60:40 split and a boot space of 480 liters.

The updated Mercedes C-Class is expected to have leather for the seats, dashboard, steering wheel and the gear knob as its predecessor. It’s due for launch on the 20th of September.

After a long period of impending success and also bidding goodbye to one of their beloved cars Tata Nano, Tata Motors is all set to make a come back with this mother of all SUVs. Built on a Land Rover platform. This platform will be powered by the 2.0-litre turbo-diesel from Fiat that also powers the Jeep Compass and this is a confirmed news as Tata Motors has already placed an order for more than a lakh engines.

The Harrier might also come with the 140bhp setup making it one of the most powerful machines in the segment, something that Tata has already experimented with Nexon and also yielding great results.

The Tata Harrier will go into production by the end of 2018 or early 2019 and is expected to launch by December 2018.

Hyundai Santro

Well, there is no doubt that Santro has been one of the most loved cars in India, and its comeback is eagerly awaited. In the small car segment, it has been one of the most successful cars in India and now the company has been developing a new hatchback which will also fill the void left by i10.

It is likely to retain the name’Santro’ and is expected to launch in October 2018. The new Santro will be powered by a small and efficient petrol engine with anything between 800cc or 1.2-litre displacement. A five-speed manual gear system and also an automatic is expected in the new variant.
