Popular filmmaker Karan Johar is always in the spotlight. Be it his controversial talk show or the ongoing hot topic of nepotism, he is mostly the talk of the town.  His fashion sense, funny quirks, and poised demeanor make him a good choice for brands for their endorsements.

Johar has a following of around 17.2 million on Twitter and 14 million on Instagram. His huge following on social media and popularity among fans make brands select him as their brand ambassador.

Karan Johar has made a powerful appearance in many ads and has been liked by viewers as well.

Here is a list of 5 ads featuring Karan Johar

1. Knorr Soups – One night with Karan

Karan Johar being Karan Johar, unapologetically. This ad features him being in the comfort of his home wearing a robe and welcoming an unexpected guest. And what does he welcome his handsome guest with? Knorr Soup – a perfect welcome drink on a rainy night isn’t it?

2. Britannia – Karan johar’s Perfect Partner For Coffee

“Britannia Biscafe – the perfect partner to your coffee”, says Johar as he takes a bite of this newly launched biscuit by Britannia along with his coffee. Owing to the popularity of his talk show ‘Koffee With Karan’, we think it was a brilliant idea to rope him in a biscuit ad which is being advertised as the perfect partner with coffee. Well done Britannia!

3. Lenskart – The War of Fair Prices

Lenskart founder Peyush Bansal features in this ad along with Karan Johar taking a rather funny dig at expensive eyewear by other brands. Karan Johar is popular for his distinct fashion and is known to own luxurious pieces in his wardrobe. On the other hand, Lenskart claims to provide good quality eyewear at affordable prices and this is where the humour of this ad arises.

4. Vivo India

This intelligent advertising by Vivo India features Johar shooting his short film on a Vivo phone and the result looks quite stunning. Need we say more? This 2 minute video is said to be the exclusive premiere of karan Johar’s debut short film ‘Baaton Baaton mein’ which is shot entirely on Vivo X80 Pro.

5. IITIIMShaadi.com

This concept of a matrimonial site solely for IIT and IIM pass outs could be debatable. Some may find it useful but for others it might not make much sense. The brand has selected Karan Johar as its new ambassador and we are sure this would add to the brand’s popularity.
