Alipore

Alipore is the most expensive and high-end locality in Kolkata. It is surrounded by ample trees around and it is also home to India’s largest zoological park and the national library. The average price of properties here starts from ₹13,000 per sq. ft.

Sector 5 (Chandigarh)

Sector 5 in Chandigarh is home to many ministers, bureaucrats, and big shots. Premium properties in this area can fetch up to ₹45 crores.

Banjara Hills (Hyderabad)

Located towards the northwest part of the city, Banjara Hills is the richest locality in Hyderabad. Premium properties in this upscale neighborhood can fetch up to Rs 75 crores while rents in this locality could go up to Rs 4.50 lakhs per month.

Golf Links (New Delhi)

Golf Links is is in walking distance of Khan Market and is considered one of the most expensive areas to buy real estate in India. The rental rates in Golf Links can vary from Rs 1 lakh to 10 lakh a month. Interestingly, Paytm founder, Vijay Shekhar Sharma, also recently bought a property in the area for Rs 82 crore.

Malabar Hill (Mumbai)

Malabar Hill in South Mumbai is undoubtedly the most expensive locality to live in India. It has been home to many notable residents like Adi Godrej, Cyrus Broacha, the Birla family, Shashi Ruia & family, Pallonji Mistry, the Jindal family, the Petit family, the Divecha family, etc. Actress Juhi Chawla and husband Jay Mehta also own a beautiful ancestral home in Malabar Hill. Properties in this area can come with a hefty price tag of up to ₹300 crores and above.
