6 Female Indian Celebrities Who Have Made Investments In Startups In 2022

2021 has been the year of startups, and 2022 is no less. With more and more investments pouring in for a variety of them in various fields, startups are becoming the place to invest in, just like gold in earlier times.

And a lot of celebrities are investing in and associating with startups, that helps them explore their entrepreneurial and investor side. Let’s take a look at
some female celebrities in India, who have made investments in startups this year.

1. Sarah Ali Khan

The Love Aaj Kal 2 star has made an investment of an undisclosed amount in casual wear and pop culture startup The Souled Store in March 2022. She is now an equity partner in the D2C startup.

Found in 2013, The Souled Store is currently the largest fan merchandise stop, that has licenses of more than 180 brands like Disney, Warner Bros, IPL and
Viacom18.

2. Anushka Sharma

Anushka has backed many startups along with her husband Virat Kohli. And this time too, the power couple have invested an undisclosed amount, in a plant-based meat startup ‘Blue Tribe’.

Blue Tribe was born in 2017, and is the brainchild of Sandeep Singh and Nikki Arora Singh. This startup provides plant-based meat products such as frozen minced chicken, chicken nuggets, keema and even momos, that have every characteristic of meat like flavour and texture, just that they aren’t made from it.

3. Athiya Shetty

Athiya Shetty has recently made investments in a New Delhi-based social commerce startup- Stage3. She will also be involved in the company’s affairs as a creative director.

Found in 2016 by Sabena Puri, Sanchit Baweja and Rina Dhaka, Stage3 is a social shopping app for next generation fashion enthusiasts.

4. Rakul Preet Singh

The Runway 34 actress has made an undisclosed amount of investment in Mumbai-based Wellbeing Nutrition, a plant-based whole food nutrition company.
Wellbeing Nutrition makes doses of daily wellness, functional nutrition, kids organic nutrition, and natural nutricosmetics. The brand sells its products on its online platform, across 2,000+ stores in India, and has a worldwide presence through 5,000+ stores spread across the USA, the UK, UAE, and Germany.

5. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan

One of the most beautiful faces in the world, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has invested INR 5 crore, in a nutrition-based healthcare startup Possible.
She isn’t new to the investment world, her first one being in 2019, when she made investments in an environment intelligence startup Ambee.

6. Samantha Ruth Prabhu

The Family Man 2 actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu, has impressed everyone with her charm, confidence and acting skills. And now, this South Indian star has also made an investment of an undisclosed amount in Hyderabad-based SustainKart, an e-commerce sustainable products marketplace.
