Say goodbye to privacy while at your stay at this hotel!

Ryokan Asha, a hotel located in Fukuoka City of Japan is offering a room for a night at as low as 100 yen (Rs. 66) if you agree to compromise your privacy for 24 hours, reports CNN.

The hotel offers a sojourn at Rs. 66 for a night on the condition that your entire stay will be live-streamed on their YouTube channel called “One Dollar Hotel” which has over 6.57K subscribers.

While the offer runs all year long it is applicable to only one room in the hotel which has a camera pointing towards the middle of the room with no blindspots. There are no microphones in the room so guests can talk among themselves and attend phone calls without hesitation.

The guests are however strictly prohibited to engage in any kind of sexual activity or nudity during their stay. The hotel owners also warn the guest to not use their personal documents like ID cards, address proof or credit cards in front of the camera.

The camera doesn’t cover the bathroom and guests are also allowed to turn off the room’s lights if needed. In the otherwise typical Japanese style room one can find a foldable sleeping mat, a small coffee table and a TV, all the luxury one needs for a night.

The idea of live-streaming was a brainchild of the hotel owner Tetsuya Inoue’s grandmother who wanted to explore creative ways of making their business grow.

“This is a very old ryokan and I was looking into a new business model. Our hotel is on the cheaper side, so we need some added value, something special that everyone will talk about,” Inoue told NDTV.

To keep the entertainment going Inoue live streams the video of himself working in his office on the days when the room is not rented.
