Apple Mocks Google’s Privacy Issue With Clever Billboards

| Published on July 8, 2019

Apple has been famous for its extremely expensive products that have become more of a style statement. The brand has been successful in penetrating in the market with its arguably amazing products. Some may say that Android is better than IOS. And in many ways, it might just be. But the one thing that Apple has outsmarted all is in its Privacy Safety features.

Everybody knows that Apple tops every other brand in providing its users with the best privacy policies. And Apple surely wouldn’t want to miss an opportunity in rubbing Google‘s face in it.

Recently, Apple put up two new billboards in Canada and one of them happens to be right in front of a Google office.

The giant billboard in downtown Toronto right next to Sidewalk Labs` new headquarters read – “We’re in the business of staying out of yours. Privacy. That’s iPhone.”  Sidewalk Labs is a subsidiary of Alphabet that also owns Google.

While the other billboard stated, “Privacy is king”. This one was placed on King Street, Toronto. Apple had put up billboards with a similar concept during mega tech event, CES 2019 in January. That one read – ‘What happens on your iPhone, stays on your iPhone’.

Apple has become the most popular brand name in technology. With the price range of Apple products hiking with every launch, it has become more of a luxury than a necessity. We all are aware of the jokes that people come up with when a new Apple product is launched. They are pretty hilarious and ingenious.

Looks like Apple has taken inspiration from its global users and learned to crack a joke or two on its arch-rival. In what way will Google respond to these creative digs will be interesting to watch.
