Having a beard has become a very famous trend everywhere, and even researchers believe that it has a lot of benefits. Along with better looks and health, what if you can also earn by having a beard? Yes, you read that right a salon based in Leicester is paying £30 an hour to bearded men to work at the world’s first “beard stroking station”.

Grooming brand Mo Bro’s is doing so to “de-stress” the shopping lovers before Christmas and not surprisingly they are getting a great response as 4,000 bearded men have applied for this till now. “It’s fairly common knowledge that stroking soft things, like animals, reduces stress, but we didn’t want to enlist the help of animals because they obviously can be somewhat unpredictable and chaotic!”Savan Dattani, the co-founder of Mo Bro’s explained.

Aspiring candidates will have to register online before the station’s opening on Wednesday. The pop-up will have three chairs where shoppers can stroke a beard of their choice for up to 20 minutes.The job specification states that beards that are at least two inches long will be accepted and the candidates should not have any problem with strangers touching their beards. The cost for this is £5 for 5 minutes and profits made will be donated to a housing and homeless charity, Shelter.
