With their new tech startup called ‘Bharuwa Solutions‘, they are supplying their vast inventory not just in India but all over the world. Guess what? This duo developed the iconic ‘Patanjali‘ brand as well!
With a technology that encompasses 5 things in one – supply chain management, soil testing, distribution, fertilizer calculations and even backward calculating – this new creation by Baba Ramdev andAcharya Balakrishna aims to increase the productivity of farmers worldwide.
With the downfall of revenue generation faced by Patanjali in 2018, the duo realized how important technology was.
“We realized that our supply chain had to be en-to-end. We needed real-time data right from product sourcing to when our product reached to end-user. We felt we should make it as per our requirements and timelines and when we developed the product (Bharuwa Solution) it turned out to be an industry-fit, so we got it patented and registered our self as an IT start-up.” – Says Balkrishna.
Even though India is one of the world leaders in the agricultural sector, its technology dates back to some 10-15 years in comparison to other countries in the world. Through Bharuwa Solutions, the duo want to help farmers stay updated with technology. They have also released an application called ‘Annadata’ which provides backward linkage and tractability mechanisms.
Only time will tell how fruitful Bharuwa Solutions will be for the farmers in India and the world. It is an exciting new company with a lot of potential that will spearhead the FMCG industry if it takes the right path.
