Every day we read his success story and how he is one of the most iconic people in the world right now, but do you know his story before he became a super rich guy? Started earning at a very small age

At the age of 12, he started learning computer programming and made a sci-fi video game and sold it to tech magazine for $500. He continued to work on his skills in his university days and in 1992, he used to earn enough to pay the entire month of his rent with the money earned from his 1 day work.

In 1995, he decided to drop out from the PhD course in Energy physics at Stanford University to start ‘Zip2’. This startup provided which provided maps and directories to online newspapers.

He believed that difficulties only come when we are trying something. He was sure from his early days in business that 3 things-internet, space travel, and sustainable energy will change the future of the world completely. He decided to apply for a job at Netspace but got rejected. Later, he got fired from the position of CEO at Paypal when he was on a flight to his honeymoon.

He had the habit of reading books whenever he used to get free time. His interest in rocket science and physics made him read books about space which led to the SpaceX project.

Also, he shared many times in his interviews that he works on the principle of 100-hour week. He barely left his office during his work at his first startup. Four years of continues hard work and he made $22 million from the same startup. According to him, doing something for 40 hours a week is useless if we compare that to the person who works 100 hours a week. He believes that any skill can be learned in 3 to 4 months if you put complete efforts into it.
