Glassdoor 2019 List: Top 10 Best Places To Work, Facebook, Google Not On List

Every year, Glassdoor, our go-to platform for any corporate information, comes up with its own list of the best places to work at. It picks the best of the best based on employee reviews, global events and track history of various companies, does thorough research and gives us a well-ranked list.

However, this time Glassdoor list has come out with many shocks and surprises. Take a look at the top 10

Google drops to 11th & Facebook to 23rd!on Glassdoor ranking

Earlier, Google was known to rank among the top 10 for a record 8 years. However, this time, with survey results not favouring the leadership and many employee allegations regarding internal policies, Google has managed to exit the top 10 list and settled at the 11th spot. Next surprise comes in the form of Facebook’s ranking. The once top-rated company of the Silicon Valley has now slipped to rank 23. This comes due to employee disagreement and policy issues.

Last but not least, the top rank is occupied by HubSpot Inc, which is a software company gaining fame these days for quality work.

1) Hubspot Inc.

Founded by Brian Halligan and Dharmesh Shah in 2006, it is known to develop and market software products. Based in Cambridge, United States, it is a New York Stock Exchange-listed company.

2) Bain & Co.

A top-four management consultancy company, it is based in Boston, United States. Existing since 1973, it works with private, public and non-profit organizations.

3) DocuSign

The company provides eSignatures, a much-needed product in today’s digital age. Headquartered in San Francisco, California, it has continued for the third time to rank amongst the top 25 of Glassdoor’s ranking.

4) In-N-Out Burger

A famous fast-food chain of restaurants based out of America; it exists in more than 300 locations. They have employee-centered policies and have avoided franchising to protect consumer and employee interests.

5) Sammons Financial Group

Headquartered in Chicago, the United States, it was founded in 1996 and is a subsidiary of Sammon Enterprises. The culture is known to be supportive and employee caring while the management ensures a work-life balance in everyone’s life.

These rankings are of utmost importance, not just for existing employees but also for people who aspire to join these companies. As the saying goes, a company which cannot treat its employees well, cannot treat its customers well either.
