| Published on October 7, 2019

The living proof of “You can be sick and still look stylish”

Hardik Pandya, the Indian cricket seems to have made it to headlines yet again but lucky for him this time it isn’t for his controversial remarks like earlier.

Pandya who was recently admitted for a surgery at a hospital in UK, London took to social media to share the news that he was doing well and recovering fast. With the news he shared a picture of him which shows him in his hospital bed smiling big with his thumbs up.

While many took this opportunity to wish the cricketer the best of health and a speedy recovery, a section of netizens also pointed out towards the cricketer’s wrist which had a glam piece slipped on it.

People were also quick to recognise the watch as a timepiece from the legendary Swiss luxury watchmaker Patek Philippe. The self-winding Rose Gold Nautilus 5980 in 18K rose gold case which also carries the chronograph and date complications is prices at $169,995 or Rs 1.2 crore but due to its high demand in the watch community, this particular timepiece can go for as high as Rs 13 crore.

Interestingly in a video shot and uploaded by London Watch Collector on YouTube last year, the watch enthusiast explained how difficult it is to acquire a Nautilus and the watch in the UK and much of the world comes with a minimum waiting time of 3-5 years.

Here’s the mixed response from the Twitterati on the post:

Though the Swiss brand may not have asked for it, looks like they got someone to market them anyways that too for free.
