Here Are The CEOs Who Earned Most Salary In 2017-2018

HCL Tech mentioned in its annual report that C Vijayakumar who was appointed as CEO and president in October 2016 and completed his full term, earned Rs 33.13 crores in the financial year 2017-2018. However, this income is not directly from HCL Technologies, but he received it through a subsidiary.

HCL chairman Shiv Nadar’s compensation dropped 66.25% in the last fiscal year to Rs 1.64 crore, the report said. A total of 28 employees as compared to 23 last year, were paid a salary of more than Rs 1 crore in HCL, with senior executives like Ajit Krishnakutty Kumar, Apparao VV, Maninder Singh Narang amongst the highest paid. While HCL’s chairman Shiv Nadar’s compensation dropped by 66.25% in the last financial year to Rs 1.64 crore.

But the kind of stress and overworked these people are, with a huge baggage of responsibilities on their shoulder of running these big IT giants, probably these salaries are justified.
