Here’s All You Need To Know About Dubai’s First ‘Vegan’ Accessories Brand

The world is shifting towards sustainability day by day. People have been switching to eco-friendly alternatives and doing things that are going to bode well for the human race in the long run.

Whether it may be switching from plastic to biodegradable products or from gas run to electric vehicles, the world is trying to change for good.

Making sustainability a way of life, the fashion industry has also adopted a lot of changes that were long overdue. People have been looking for eco-friendly and cruelty-free brands that are fashionable as well.

Taking this into consideration, there are many brands that have been making the change. There are many new brands that have been selling their products with the concept of sustainability.

Angana Maheshwari, the founder of the new Dubai-based accessories brand Veganologie, is selling products like  handbags, wallets, and credit card cases from fully recycled vegan materials.

Not just the leather, but even the hardware of these bags is sustainable and produced from fully recyclable zinc alloy.

Talking about the market, Angana said that the Dubai people are absolutely ready for more sustainable products.

She added that though they ship globally, they are aware that consumers in Dubai are just as eager for planet-friendly products as they are elsewhere in the world.

Angana saw a gap in the market during the pandemic when she struggled to find a bag that ticked all the eco-friendly boxes she required. Uncomfortable with the idea of fast fashion and the amount of waste it creates, she decided to spend lockdown researching how she could make an earth-friendly bag of her own.

The result is a collection of well-thought-out and fun accessories, with prices starting at $50 incredibly reasonable for vegan products, which can be expensive to source and produce.

The brand is soon to come up with products for men and unisex products as well.
