Hindustan Lever Ltd Is Named No. 1 Advertiser Once Again: BARC

Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC) India is a Joint Industry Body founded by stakeholder bodies that represent Broadcasters, Advertisers, and Advertising and Media Agencies.

Built upon a robust and future-ready technology backbone, BARC India owns and manages a transparent, accurate, and inclusive TV audience measurement system.

With a panel size of 180,000 individuals, BARC India is also the largest measurement company of its kind in the world. The body has recently released the list of top advertisers, brands, and channels across genres for the third week of 2022 (15-21 January).

Top 10 Advertisers – Across Genres

Hindustan Lever Ltd (HUL) was once again the no. 1 position in the list of the top advertisers in the third week of 2022. As per data released by Broadcast Audience Research Council (Barc), the FMCG major delivered ad volumes 3528.69 (‘000 secs) in the given period. It was followed by Reckitt Benckiser at 3499.69 (‘000 secs) and Ponds India at 1015.01 (‘000 secs).

Brooke Bond Lipton India, Cadburys India, ITC, Godrej Consumer, Amazon Online India, LIC, and Colgate Palmolive grabbed the rest of the spots.

Top 10 Brands – Across Genres

Harpic Power Plus 10X Max Clean led the list of top 10 brands with an ad volume of 579.53 (‘000 seconds). With 437.54 (‘000 seconds) ad vol, Dettol Antiseptic Liquid took second place.

Asian Paints Apex Ultima Protek lodged itself at number three with ad volumes of 304.68 (‘000 seconds). Policy Bazaar.com was another non-FMCG brand at number four with an ad vol of 300.85 (‘000 seconds).

Vanish Oxi Action, Lizol, Harpic Bathroom Cleaner, Ultratech Cement, Horlicks, and Kia Carens were the remaining six names of the list ranking accordingly.
