How Government Is Planning To Make Ayodhya An International Tourist Destination

Recently, Ayodhya has been in the news after the Supreme Court ruled in favor of the temple. But soon we will all witness a new Ayodhya all together.

The government has decided to take the development of the holy city up a notch and turn it into an international tourist destination.

The government is now planning a cruise on the Saryu, a five-star hotel and heritage hotels are being planned along with a Ram Corridor that will extend for 13km from the Ram Janambhoomi site to the site where the Ram Statue is to be installed.

The cruise planned on the Saryu, on the lines of Varanasi, will provide a panoramic view of the Ram temple, Ram corridor, and Ram statue.

The Chief Minister has asked the state Culture and Tourism Departments to invite other states to replicate the prominent religious places in their states in Ayodhya. The government is also planning to replicate the famous Meenakshi temple, Konark temple, Somnath temple and Tirupati temple in Ayodhya soon.

With growing tourist spots, the government will also put emphasis on better connectivity in terms of roads, railways and flight schedules. The central government has been in talks about developing an international airport in Ayodhya for a while now.

According to the Principal Secretary, Tourism and Culture, Jitendra Kumar, there was already a surge of investors from all over the world, who are willing to invest in building hotels, hospitals resorts and providing hospitality and service centers in Ayodhya.

The city is not getting just a touristy make-over but also in terms of residential developments. A new township will also be constructed along with the construction of the temple.

With all the mini-projects coming up along with the construction of the temple, the state government has approved to sanction Rs 400 crores for Ayodhya.
