| Published on July 16, 2019

Star Sports, the go to channel for everything sports is all set to get its viewers hooked yet again after ICC World Cup 2019 with the soon to begin VIVO Pro Kabbadi Legaue.

Using the nations’s love for cricket as a marketing tactic the channel has successfully created buzz for the coming season of Pro Kabbadi League which is to kick start on July 20.

Integrating Kabaddi onto the largest cricketing platform by the network is an effort to showcase the growth of the league and to introduce popular Kabbadi heroes like Pawan Sehrawat, Pradeep Narwal, Ajay Thakur and Rahul Chaudhari.

Vivo Pro Kabbadi League has since its first season come a long way and has managed to win the hearts of the viewers around the world time and again.

Famous cricket personalities including Indian cricket stars have time and again shown their love and support for the game. While Irfan Pathan and Brett Lee indulged in a friendly Kabaddi mach during the pre-show Philips Hue Cricket Live for the ICC Cricket World Cup, Stephen Fleming played and motivated a talented group of young kabaddi players.

M.S. Dhoni also lent his support by being a part of VIVO PKL Campaign and of course who can even forget Shikhar Dhawan’s famous moustache look and his adopted celebratory Kabaddi Thigh Five. Virat Kohli has also made a point to grace a few matches in the past.

Star Sport’s initiate of brining cricketing fans closer to Kabaddi is one-step towards the sport growing leaps and bounds with every passing season through clever marketing initiatives, including branding during ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 to launching the main thematic campaign “ISSE KICH TOUGH NAHI” for VIVO PKL 7 during the games. The network has left no stone unturned in creating enough pre season buzz for the big opening on July 20 in Hyderabad.

Star Sports also recently launched a promo featuring the Kabaddi star Pradeep Narwal on the cricket field who is seen rescuing a situation during the match with his push (a move in Kabaddi) and we can clearly say #ISSETOUGHKUCHNAI.

Coming back with an all new format on July 20, VIVO PKL Season 7 will have its first face off between Telegu Titans and U Mumba followed by Season 7 champions Bengaluru Bulls against Patna Pirates.
