Indian City Ranks 8th In KPMG Report Of Leading Technology Innovation Hubs Around The Globe

KPMG’s report has placed Bengaluru eight in the list of top ten cities in the world among leading technology innovation hubs outside of the Silicon Valley in San Francisco, in the next 4 years.

The report titled, “Technology innovation hubs” surveyed more than 800 industry leaders and spoke about how COVID-19 has rapidly changed the way we work but in spite of this all, the technology hubs outside of the Silicon Valley are here to stay. The report also ranked India third in the list of countries and jurisdictions that promise to develop the most disruptive technologies in the years to come.

As per the report, about 39 per cent of industry leaders believe that ‘hub’ cities, such as the likes of London, Singapore, and Tel Aviv will most certainly end up playing a pivotal role in enabling talent to collaborate and build communities with a solid digital infrastructure. However, 22 per cent of people do believe that there lies no power in hub cities and are no longer of any importance.

India has continued to rank consecutively in the report for two years now. It highlights our country’s immense emphasis on developing technology hubs that enable the growth of the country in leaps and bounds. The economic growth of the country is sure to rocket owing to the emphasis being laid on the same. Moreover, it proves to be an even bigger achievement since the pandemic has definitely caused a standstill in multiple arenas while the technology sector continues to lead in stride.

Today, many global tech corporations operate smoothly from our very own Silicon Valley, Bengaluru. The city is known for the talent that it manifests along with multiple accelerators that build these giant tech companies. The city is most likely to become a global attraction in the years to come for the advancements that it continues to bring about in the field.

Technology has outpaced almost all industries in the country which was drastically affected by the pandemic. The report reveals the importance of physical workplaces and how innovation hubs essentially remain a key component in a companies’ strategy. The survey conducted, included 12 countries and the data for the publication has been collected from March 2021 to May 2021.
