The students at Ashoka University recently created their entire campus on Minecraft, following suit with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and the University of California, Berkley. As classes continue to commence online, this new move has created a whole virtual meaning for the university students.
A group of eight students from the university came together in establishing this virtual reality. This project started in mid-May wherein the students spent five to six hours everyday in bringing it to perfection. This is definitely a work of art and needs to be applauded for its umpteen efforts.
The virtual room consists of a capacity of 700 people that can join at the same time and explore the Minecraft Ashoka University during the lock down. It will be an interactive setting like no other, where individuals can chat with each other as well. This was created with the help of blocks, replicating the experience of college life. This group wants to incorporate live classes through this innovative method, in addition to hosting online events including conferences and concerts.
