A picture of an egg has gone viral all across the internet world and it has broken the world record of the most-liked picture on Instagram. Everyone is trying to latch on this trend and people trying to get some followers and likes making a similar account.

While there are some who are curious to know the story and person behind this egg, we are sharing the information that we have gathered from some popular media groups. Here’s what we know so far:

The egg account holder goes by “Henrietta. If we talk about the meaning of this name, Henrietta is, according to a report from BuzzFeed News, a “chicken from the British countryside.”

ABC group tried contacting the person and heard from the owner of the “world record egg” account, who said he or she is an individual living in London. In an email, the person explained where the idea came from.

“I thought it would be an interesting experiment to try and beat the record with something as basic as possible,” said Eugene Egg, the mysterious person behind the egg post who declined to share their real identity over email. “Which led to me deciding on the egg. I guess it’s also a comment on celebrity culture and how fragile and easily cracked it is (pun intended). But really I just thought it would be funny if something as simple as an egg could take the crown.”

According to Mashable, So far, the only public figure to have implied responsibility for the egg is Supreme Patty, an Instagram star who smokes hot sauce and is known for squeezing lemon juice into his own eyes. While Patty didn’t claim he did the egg outright, one of his friends did say so in an interview. He has over 6.2 million followers on Instagram
