Mukesh Ambani Surpasses Gautam Adani As The Richest Indian Acc. To Hurun World Rich List.

| Published on March 30, 2023

Mukesh Ambani, the chairman of Reliance Industries, has been crowned the wealthiest Indian with an estimated net worth of $82 billion. As the richest person in Asia, the 66-year-old is the sole Indian to make it into the top 10 on the 2023 M3M Hurun World Rich List.

Mukesh Ambani, the CEO of Reliance Industries, has surpassed Gautam Adani to become the richest Indian according to the 2023 M3M Hurun World Rich List. While both Ambani & Adani had an annual loss in wealth, Adani lost 35% of it as a result of the Hindenburg scandal while Ambani lost 20%, according to the Hurun Rich List for 2022 and 2023.

Adani, who was once the world’s second richest person according to the “Bloomberg Billionaires Index”, witnessed his fortune fall from $119 billion on January 24 to $57.2 billion currently.

The richest Indian and Asian, though, was Mukesh Ambani, who suffered a fall of $21 billion in his wealth. In the 2023 M3M Hurun World Rich List, he is the only Indian among the top 10 richest persons in the world.

Ambani’s Reliance Industries emerged as one of Hurun’s most valued corporations even as Adani was the wealthiest Indian.

As per the Hurun rich list, 9 out of the top 10 Indian billionaires experienced their wealth fall. Only Cyrus Poonawalla, the president and CEO of the biotechnology firm Serum Institute of India, has seen his wealth rise.

Poonawalla is now the world’s richest billionaire in the healthcare sector.

With a net worth of $3.3 billion, Byju Raveendran and his family are the second-richest entrepreneurs in the world who work in the education industry. In the previous three years, he has advanced 1,005 ranks, according to Hurun’s statement.
