As per the job listing website the role of “Digital Communication Manager” will be to find “new ways to maintain the Queen’s presence in the public eye and on the world stage.” Besides working at the Buckingham Palace and a hefty pay check as a salary, the list of perks includes a comprehensive benefits package, including 15% employer contribution pension scheme after 6 months, 33 day annual leave including bank holidays and also free lunch. 

Also, what’s interesting here is that for the longest time the royal rules prohibited the members of the royal family from having personal accounts on social media, and shared one official account which is also why Meghan Markle the former actress and now the Duchess of Sussex had to bid goodbye to her long time social media accounts after her marriage to Prince Harry.

But not so long ago Prince Harry and Meghan Markle registered their presence on the social media with their official handle in March and looks like it’s about time that social media is graced by the presence of the Royal Highness Queen Elizabeth II.

The Queen visited Bruton in Somerset today, where she officially opened the new music centre at @kingsbruton school, to mark their 500th anniversary. Whilst there, Her Majesty named @aspolice’s newest recruit – a horse named Windsor. The last visit of the day was to @hauserwirth gallery in Somerset which showcases the surrounding landscape through art, viewing the current exhibitions before meeting schoolchildren taking part in a creative session. #RoyalVisitSomerset 📷1 &3 Press Association
