Reasons Why Business Is Better Than 9-To-5 Job

| Published on October 17, 2019

Day in and day out we read about the entrepreneurs leading the world, how age is never a limit to starting your own venture and then again, how risky running an enterprise is.

Yet, we all are aware of the phrase ‘There is no gain without risk’. Probably why those who once enter the world of entrepreneurs, usually never prefer to shift to a job after it. Hence, one might wonder why should one start a business? Leave behind a safe and secure job?

Well, the answer lies in the benefits that business brings with itself –

1) Money isn’t a problem

Money is always on one’s mind while working, it is what you earn, what you invest and what you reap for a better future. As a business owner, there are no limits to your money. For example, as a salaried employee, you work and only earn a fixed amount, irrespective of various changing scenarios around you. However, as a business owner, you earn as you deem fit, as much as you work and as many profits you make.

2) Infinity time play

Once again, being in a job means you work for a fixed period of time. Mostly considered and called 9-5 jobs, salaried employs don’t get any latitude to be flexible with time. However, as a business owner, you work as per your hours, comfort and goals.

3) Lead as you desire

As a business leader, you do not have to wait around for anyone’s orders or confirmations. You are on your own and the responsibility of decision-maker for the business is yours to lead ahead. This allows quick work and efficiency and gives more value to your talent.

4) No age limits

As a business leader, there aren’t any retirement rules for you. You can work and dedicate your time to your work for as long as you can and are healthy enough to do so. Infect, many families see the elders running the family business until they are even 70 because they enjoy being their own boss.

5) Be who you want to be

Having your own business gives you the rare chance to be exactly who you want to be and how you want to achieve that. Your business becomes your learning curve, implementation point and as an entrepreneur, it leaves a good impression on others of yours, as a leader who is willing to take risks and put in efforts.

6) No waiting around

As I said, you are your own boss. You don’t have to wait around or seek someone’s permission to take holidays or a day off to spend time with family or friends. A salaried employee has to give applications with justifications for leave and even suffer a pay cut at times, but as a business starter, you don’t have to do so.

7) Working on goals

Being a business leader implies you should be ambitious. Control and managing all business divisions, handling a large number of people and being deeply involved in decision making allows you to steer the company in the right direction, the direction you want to go to. No sooner you will observe ticking off your desired goals, both on a personal and professional level.

8) Be a practitioner

Like said, a business starter has to do everything, right from scratch, the groundwork, the presentations to the final execution. With that, you get to do things live, practice what you learn and implement better practices along the way.

Here we go, so many reasons why a business is better than a regular day job. But remember, it all depends on you as a person and what are your life goals!
