1. MetaWave raises $10 million from Hyundai, Toyota

Smart radar startup Metawave has raised $10 million in a funding round which had many major players from the automobile industry. Started in 2017, Metawave builds wireless systems to provide smart radar platforms for autonomous driving.

2. PayPal buys another payments gateway startup

Paypal is looking aggressive with its approach towards payment gateway startups. The company has revealed that it is buying a Swedish startup named iZettle for $2.2 billion.

3. Swiggy in talks to raise $250 million

Online food delivery startup Swiggy is considering to raise $250 million funding. If this happens, Swiggy’s total valuation will cross $1 billion giving it a unicorn status. Existing investors are not looking to raise any more fundings.

4. Automobile startup Droom raises $30 Million

Gurugram based automobile products selling startup Droom has successfully raised $30 million in Series D round of funding led by Toyota Tsusho Corp and Digital Garage. Investors from China, Hong Kong, and South East Asia participated in this funding round.

5. Bengaluru-based healthcare startup raises $4.2 million

Online healthcare startup mfine has raised $4.2 million in a Series A funding round led by Prime Venture Partners. Existing investors also participated in the funding round. Started in 2017, mfine helps patients to get online consultations through the app.

6. Flipkart-Walmart deal turns Rs 155crore investment to Rs 880crore

Azim Premji, the co-founder of Wipro has made Rs 880 crore from the Flipkart Walmart deal. He invested Rs 155 in Myntra in 2014. After the investment, Flipkart acquired Myntra and Walmart raised its value to $21 million.

7. 20 Indian companies selected for expansion in London

10. Foxconn writes off $40 million from Snapdeal

FIH Mobile, a subsidiary of Foxconn has written off $40 million from its total $200 million investment in Indian e-commerce startup Snapdeal. The decision has been made due to loss of $160 million faced by FIH in Snapdeal’s parent company Jasper Infotech.
