He further said that he is considering to emphasise the use of honey instead of sugar in tea served in restaurants, airlines and hotels. If the government puts this plan into practice then the demand for honey will definitely increase. This will surely enhance the growth of business in this sector.

The ‘Honey Mission’

The Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC) has given more than one lakh boxes to bee farmers and unemployed youths of the country in less than two years. The Government’s Supports

If you want to install a honey processing plant under this scheme, then you get 65% loan from the commission and Khadi Gramodyog also gives you 25% subsidy, that is, you have to invest only 10% of your money.

Aper KVIC, the plant would cost you around Rs 24.50 lakh. The plant will manufacture 20 thousand kilograms of honey per annum. Out of this, you will get a loan of about 16 lakh rupees, while you will get 6.15 lakh rupees in the form of margin money and you will have to invest only about 2.35 lakh rupees from your pocket.

Monthly Earnings

According to KVIC, if you manufacture 20 thousand kg honey annually, which costs Rs 250 per kg. 4% of this should include working loss. This will bring your annual sales to 48. Lakhs. After deducting your annual expenses of around 34.15 lakh rupees, your annual income will be approximately Rs. 13.85 lakh rupees. This means you can easily earn more than 1 lakh rupees every month.
