Top 10 F&B Brands That Advertised Most On TV During Jan-Mar 2021

Television Advertisement volumes of the Food & Beverage sector grew by 43% during Jan-Mar 2021 as compared to the same period in 2020. Amongst all the leading F&B brands in India,  Hindustan Unilever emerged as the top advertiser on television with a 14% share of the sector ad volume.

These are the top 10 brands that have advertised the most on television during Jan-Mar 2021.

1. Hindustan Unilever

Hindustan Unilever increased the advertising and promotion expenses for fiscal 2021 by 1% to Rs 4,737 crore. Out of the total ad expenditure, 14% was spent on Television Ads.

2. Brooke Bond Lipton India

Brooke Bond Lipton India is the leading advertiser in the tea category on television during Jan-Mar’21. The company spent 10 percent of the total spendings on Television ads.

3. Cadbury India

Cadbury India has spent 9% of its total advertising spendings on Television during Jan-Mar’21.

4. ITC

For the same quarter, ITC has spent nearly 7% of its total ad expenditure on television.

5. Britannia Industries

Britannia Industries spent a total of 5% on television from the overall allotted spending ammount on advertising.

6. PepsiCo India

PepsiCo India has spent 5% of its total ad expenditure on television during this period.

7. Coca-Cola India

Coca-Cola India has also spent 5% of its total advertisement expenditure on television during these months.

8. GCMMF – Amul

The television ads expenditure for Amul accounted for 4 percent out of the overall advertisement spent.

9. Nestle India

Nestle India‘s television ad expense accounted for 3 percent of the total spent.

10. Perfetti Van Melle India

Perfetti Van Melle India‘s ad spent accounted for 2% of the overall expenditure making it to the list of the top 10 brands.
