Human is known for making mistakes but if a famous person does that, it becomes a topic for others to talk about. A similar thing has happened with UrbanClap’s CEO, Abhiraj Bhal. He did a silly mistake of clicking the reply-all button while writing his comments to the employees regarding a customer’s complaints.
The worse thing about this incident is that he told everyone to ignore his queries and the customer received this message as he was already on the contact list of Abhiraj’s e-mail list. The message read “Please ignore him completely. Nobody should answer his queries,”
Below you can see a tweet written by Rakesh regarding this:
It all began when Rakesh Verma, a customer of UrbanClap raised a complaint about the technician who was unable to fix his air conditioner. The technician even stopped picking his calls and Rakesh became angry due to this. Rakesh decided to contact UrbanClap through e-mail and got replies several times that the problem will be solved soon.
A dedicated ticket was raised, Rakesh even accused UrbanClap of having damaged his AC while repairing it. After getting no further response from officials, Rakesh e-mailed Abhiraj.
The reply of Ahiraj got viral on Reddit and now it is going viral on all social media networks. The CEO, after knowing this responded to the thread on Reddit and apologised for his reply. “I must say that it was incorrect for me to have responded this way,” Bhal wrote. “That was a mistake – and I acknowledge the same,” he added.
But Bhal believes that UrbanClap’s is not at fault in this case. The AC was checked by their expert staff and realized that the technician hadn’t damaged it. Also, the company offered him to return the technician charges and pay half the price of the compressor. The customer denied this offer and demanded the complete amount of the compressor.
It’s difficult to say that who is at fault but the e-mail reply is definitely showing the unprofessional behavior of the CEO. Bhal said that this customer called him several times and disturbed him but the customer is saying that CEO cannot deny listening complaints about the company he is working for.
The latest tweet from Rakesh shows that UrbanClap has finally accepted to pay the whole amount of the AC repair.
“‘We’re ready to get your AC replaced if required or can pay you for all the charges that’d incur to get the AC repaired’ – Said the @urbanclap officials today. They seem to have realized their mistake and are ready to take responsibility for it along with the steps to correct it.”
