Warren Buffett Shares That Worry Him At Bedtime

Warren Buffett has stated that his concerns about another pandemic are greater than his worries about his company before going to bed.

According to Warren Buffett, when he goes to sleep at night, he is more concerned about the possibility of catastrophic world events than the performance of his own business.

During a recent interview on “Squawk Box” on CNBC, the billionaire investor was questioned about how much he worried about economic concerns like recent bank failures and inflation. He claimed that rather than problems with Berkshire Hathaway, he was more worried about factors outside his control.

“Well, at 92 I’ve got other things to worry about,” he told CNBC last week. “No, I don’t worry about our ability. There’s things I worry about. Sure. I worry about the nuclear threat. I worry about a pandemic in the future, all kinds of things but I don’t worry about ’em because I can’t do anything about ’em.”

He also added: “I never go to bed worried about Berkshire and how we’ll handle a thing. If I’m worried about Berkshire, I should figure out something different to do about what Berkshire is doing.”

Buffett is famed for his optimistic demeanor, and friends such as Bill Gates have related his success to his ability to see the bright side of every circumstance. When a data scientist examined decades’ worth of Buffett’s yearly shareholder letters in 2017, he told CNBC that he found recurring key phrases like “outstanding” and “excellent” that demonstrated Buffett’s enduring confidence.

The billionaire also told CNBC that he had faith in his own capacity to predict hazards and economic trends before others, which contributed to his general optimism and lack of concern about the firm.

Warren said, “I’ve got 99 and a fraction percent of my net worth in Berkshire, but I’ve got all my relatives in. I’ve got everybody in.” “If I thought that I wasn’t going to be able to do a decent job of managing the risk, a better than decent job, I’d be crazy to take on that responsibility.”

He said that he thinks eating his favorite foods, including hamburgers, ice cream, and Coca-Cola, makes him happy even if they are unhealthy. He also feels that happiness and optimism are crucial to having a long life.
