We do make a lot of jokes about mentioning random fake stuff in the resume. But do we ever implement them? No. Because it legally incorrect and has the potential to give birth to a lot of professional complications.
But there is a woman named Veronica who is based in Australia who literally lied in her CV and laded a 1.3 Crore/Year government job.
The educational background in the CV was fake. The work experience she mentioned was unauthentic, too. Along with fake bunch of references, she also managed to attach fake payslips with it.
This all helped her to acquire a very amazing government job position of Chief Information Officer that paid her 1.3 CR annually. According to reports, her LinkedIn profile picture is set as of some model.
This is not enough. She offered a job profile to her brother even when he did not have the required skillset.
When Veronica joined the company, her mental health was taking a back step and this made others very suspicious in the company. After some investigation, the company found out that this person was suffering from Bipolar Disorder. Further, they got to know that she had been lying in her CV, as well.
She had been accused of dealing dishonesty with her documents as well as abuse of public office in September 2017. She had been sentenced to jail for 25 months.
Rather than facing and concluding our life to such consequences, why not choose a path of hard work and honesty?
