Xiaomi & Realme Heads Get Into The War Of Words On Twitter

| Published on April 19, 2019

Twitter has officially become that platform brands use to take a gid at each other. And adding to the list of never ending twitter war of words is the war between the two smartphone brands Xiaomi and Realme.

So what’s the war about? Well, both of these brands are very soon about to launch their new respective projects which they believe is superior to the other and that’s what we exactly saw on Twitter when Manu Jain, Vice President, Xiaomi and Managing Director got into a feud on the social media platform with Madhav Seth, Chief Executive Officer, Realme India.

Taking the first step to this war of words was Manu Jain who tweeted about the competitor’s new launch using old technology and also boasted about their own upcoming new project.

To which Madhav Seth took an offense and replied stating that the competitor is afraid of their new project which has not even launched yet!

Xiaomi and Realme are the biggest rivals in the budget segment of the Indian smartphone industry. While Xiaomi has banked heavily with Redmi Note 7 Pro powered by the Snapdragon 675 chipset, Realme is all set to take on the market leader with its upcoming offering, the Realme 3 Pro.

As for the chipset, here’s a little piece of information just for you. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 processor was in May last year, while the Snapdragon 675 chipset was introduced in October. The main reason why Manu Jain is claiming about better performance of the Snapdragon 675 processor is the fact that it features two high-performance cores of Kryo 460, while the Snapdragon 710 features Kryo 360 high-performance cores. Furthermore, the Snapdragon 675 chipset outlasts the Snapdragon 710 SoC in the imaging department. The Snapdragon 675 features two 14-bit Spectra 250L ISP with support up to 48-megapixel cameras, while the Snapdragon 710 comes with 14-bit Spectra 250 ISP.

However, the Snapdragon 710 offers better-clocked speeds of up to 2.2GHz as compared to 2.0GHz of Snapdragon 675. Furthermore, the Snapdragon 710 offers a slightly better GPU with Adreno 616 GPU and it is more power efficient as it is manufactured on a 10nm LPP process as compared to the 11mm LPP process used in Snapdragon 675 processor. However, it is important to note that the chipset performance is one part of the smartphone and other factors like operating system and more come into play to improve to decrease the performance of the chipset.

Well as for us we shall only say let your work do the talking!
