Well, it all started with a tweet from Zomato telling its customers to eat Ghar ka Khana at home sometimes. Zomato had tweeted “Guys, kabhi kabhi ghar ka khana bhi kha lena chahiye”. The response of online audience was not great initially but when other brands started following this advertise themselves, it became a war of brands.

YouTube India, Amazon Prime Video, MobiKwik, TVF, Ixigo, Dabur Hajmola are some big brands that tried moment marketing with this new trend.
The best is that the story didnt end there as ZOmato, this morning decided to take on other brands for not being creative enough with their tweets. Zomato tweeted the reply with caption “Guys, kabhi kabhi khud ke acche tweet bhi soch lene chahiye.”(Guys, once in a while, you should think of a good tweet yourself.”

Its really cool to see brands taking on each other on social media as it is the right way to advertise in today’s era because audience tends to remember such moments more than the billboard ads they see on roads.
But, it looks like online audience took this in other way and started trolling Zomato fr trying to be extra smart. Here are some replies proving the same:
Tere tweets hi achhe hai sirf, offers to @swiggy_in ke achhe hai
